"The In'Ferno Affect" teaser...

"Along the windswept sandy beaches hidden by rocky outcrops of a medieval coastline, a beautiful maiden stood in the chilled air. Beautiful, silent and still she stood like a marble statue carved by the finest artist the world has ever seen. The wind that flowed from the ocean tossed her long curly brown hair that could easily reach the curve of her lower back when not in motion.

Her eyes, a bright shade of green were in stark contrast to the approaching storm which she looked out upon. She witnessed what seemed to be a large storm of the darkest in gray skies that could bring sorrow to the least sorrowful. Yet not to this young maiden of English descent who had a spirit that was unfaltering.

She wore a long red dress made of the finest pure cotton chiffon that flowed from her exposed cream colored shoulders down the endless pathways that were her soft legs. To keep her garment from touching the sand she held the seams just below her exquisitely curved hips in her hands creasing the front causing the red color to cascade down her perfect form like a majestic waterfall.

With a half crown of freshly cut red and pink roses and a pewter cross that hung just below her thin neck and atop her lusciously curved breasts, she smiled out upon the storm. She smiled a smile that could tempt the holiest of men. Yes, a smile so beautiful that men would war in the summers just for the slightest glance. This smile was not to tempt men into battle, no this smile was reserved for her lover alone whom she watched as he approached from the north.

Her lover approached in black dressing matching his dark olive skin. He appeared foreign to this sun deprived land of mountain and sea. As her lover came closer and closer she could no longer keep her composure and she turned, lifting her dress high above her sculpted ankles and ran to him. This was her man and there was no other, and she knew that she was his woman and there too was no other.

“Oh Anthony,” she spoke as she stopped in the loving arms of his warm embrace.”

“My Jordan, as long as it takes mountains to crumble to dust, as long as it would take to sail the full ocean, I have longed for you. For you are the woman who haunts my dreams, how I have missed you.”

“My love Anthony, I have dreamed of this moment for so very long, not only as I slept, but all the long days as well.”

Anthony pulled her tighter, “My love, without you my life is meaningless, and with you I have purpose. I shall never leave your side again. No, even if the Lord came down from his throne and asked if I was ready for heaven itself, I would turn him down for just one more kiss from you my queen.”

“And you my king.”

“How I love you Jordan, words escape me when I even attempt to put them on paper. No, without you my pen has run dry nor is there a tree in the forest for me to write upon.”

The star-crossed lovers, with Jordan firmly grasping Anthony’s right arm, turned and walked upon the cold waterline. She gently put her head of hair that smelled of lavender upon his prominent shoulder as they journeyed. A journey in which all time stood still and all creation ceased its forward motion."

I guess you will just have to read the entire book to see how I connect this sappy love story to the firey demise of the earlier character (see August 3rd teaser)...
