THE IN'FERNO EFFECT

THE IN'FERNO EFFECT
What would YOU be willing to sacrifice for your deepest desire… and are you willing to take the heat? Be careful what you wish for…

What is the most isolating phrase in the English language?

“You need,” you need to do this and you need to do that… you need - you need - you need… When someone attempts to beat you over the head with the Hammer of Thor by way of this simple phrase you turn away from them. Yes you may agree to quiet them, or you may start a fight with them, or you may even end a friendship with them.
This happens in all forms of culture and everyone, including myself, uses this phrase. Politicians tell you that “you need” to support this program or that program and they repeat the “you need” phrase over and over again. Then after they isolate you they call you un-American or un-patriotic if you do not support whatever they are pedaling. What is the difference between, “Bush: You are un-patriotic and do not support the troops if you do not support the war;” or “Obama: You are un-patriotic and are a racist if you do not support Nationalized Health Care.”
The truth is there is no difference; they are both attempting to beat you over the head with their points of view. And what happened, Bush’s ratings crashed and Obama’s ratings are crashing. Most people supported the war and most people support some form of health care for all; however, the hammer was dropped and people stopped listening.
Now back to the racist word, another fighting word, that was used on MSNBC. April 15, 2009, Janeane Garofalo called everybody who attended a tax protest a racist on Countdown with Keith Olberman. Her point was they did not support Obama because he is black man, well look at the footage of the protests, I guess (In her words) the black men and women who attended are racist to other black men and women. See how stupid this sounds; well this is what MSNBC traffics in. At least Fox and CNN (whether right or left) do not traffic in hateful terminology.
This also goes for those who attempt to convert others to their style of faith (Christianity, Judaism or Islam). Under full discloser I am a Christian, but have issues with others (even in my on faith) who attempt to shout their views from the mountain tops while silencing others. Beating people over the head with your values and views have lead to more people leaving faith than joining faith. So my view is to share your view but do not force your view. When you tell people “you need” to subscribe 100% to your viewpoints or they are going to burn in a lake of fire; well you have just created one more person who will wage war on religion. And that is one more person who is fighting the system to make the system make me tear down my Christmas lights. (And I want my Christmas lights)
So in conclusion, do not stoop to ridicule when others disagree with you and do not call them hateful terms if they do not use such terms in their daily lives. The beauty of the human experience is that we are all different and have different views to bring to the table. And also remember that faith is personal and share how faith has affected your life and do not tell people they are destine for Hell if they disagree.
And finally “YOU NEED” to vote on the posted polls.
