Continuation of the online story, from Mary Ann

As the storm moved closer the clouds seemed more like a sheet of black linen almost resembling the cape of someone sinister in search of prey. The lightning which emanated through the sky seemed to be more amber in color than the usual bright light flashes most had grown accustomed to. In fact, each time a flash lit up the sky, one could see holes in the clouds which appeared as accusing eyes looking down at the town. Each horizontal flash resembled a more grotesque sneer of one seeking to capture and destroy anything in its path.

The residents of Edgar Bay retreated to their homes and secured all their windows and doors in a state of panic. They knew this was no ordinary storm and they were in fear. Of what, they did not know, but their instinct told them that this was going to be a night like no other as they huddled with their families in closets and basements and other areas away from the terrifying presence descending upon them.

Across town, Natasha Loveless was lighting ceremonial candles throughout her house in a state of exhilarated expectance. She dressed in her finest clothes as if waiting for a lover to call. Unlike the others, this night would be one of joyous celebration which she had been awaiting her entire life. Yes, this night was one of destiny and she would not be denied. Edgar Bay, and all the pain its residents had caused her would be worth every second of suffering. This was her time and IT was coming to fulfill her destiny.
